 The Magellan Academy recognizes the importance of maintaining a proper balance between work and play for all of its students. Recesses are scheduled at various times during the day in a state of the art playground facility to ensure that equilibrium. There is much more than recess that composes The Magellan Academy’s extracurricular activity. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas plays are staged not only celebrating these holidays but also provides the students the historical basis for these respective holidays. Of course, all the preparation that goes into these plays provides an outlet for the children to have fun and learn at the same time. Naptime is allotted each day in the appropriate time lengths for each age group to ensure they are well rested to sufficiently absorb and retain their academic studies.
We understand the hectic schedule of a busy parent; running from childcare to piano lessons, to ballet can be very stressful. This is why Magellan also offers on-site extra curricular activities such as dance, fitness, music and karate. These services are contracted directly through various vendors, but allow you the freedom to get your child involved.
